Details
The Chubbsafes Data Plus Size 1 is a fire data safe from Chubbsafes that is designed to offer 120 minutes fire protection for data media such as disks or tapes. The safe is tested and certified to the highest international standards, UL 72 and EN 1047-1 which means that your computer data is protected even after being subjected to a fire lasting 120 minutes. The safe door is equipped with a high security double bitted key lock as standard and is equipped with slam shut facility for immediate protection. There are a range of optional adjustable shelves, pullout drawer's and lockable internal compartments available providing easy data management.

    Hi, we're interested in a Chubb Data Plus. We'd like to bolt it to the floor - does the design allow this? Is there a kit available?
    Campbell
    This safe cannot be bolted to the floor and there is no kit availbale. At the time of writing any safe specifically designed to protect tapes or film from fire cannot have fixing holes in the base as they will compromise the high level of protection required.

    The only model available at the moment is the Phoenix Data Combi which will protect tapes and film and can be bolted to the floor using a specially designed base fixing tray called a PAD4. This allows the safe to be bolted to the floor using the tray rather than holes in the actual safe.

    Another alternative would be a Digital Media Safe but they are designed to protect DVD’s and hard drives - they will NOT protect tapes or film. The level of protection required for digital media is lower and these selected models do include holes in the base allowing them to be bolted to the floor.
