It is all black, even the numbers. People can't see to put in the number code. I have had to put a picture next to it to help people. It's capacity is smaller than I expected. People can't be bothered to lock it after use.

A good bit of kit that is discrete. The bolts provided are ok but a suggestion would be to use thunder bolts instead as they are stronger and easier to fit.

We have used this product at several locations, its build quality is excellent and its very easy to set up and use.

the only slight problem is the reset button can be vandalised quite easily and then you have to reset with a pen or screwdriver.

We really like this - and the cover protects the keys from the weather. You can't easily break into this unlike some other key safes which I recently learnt can easily be broken with a screwdriver.

This is replacing a similar one that was used twice and then failed which we then had to cut in half to retrieve the key.

This one the number pad is much easier to see, the buttons feel more solid and connected, the inside cavity is suitable to take large key plus fob, or maybe 2/3 small keys and fobs.

Very pleased.

Good product but you need to make sure you do not use the corner holes with the fixings supplied as they have flanges. Use the hole points where you have to drill them out.

Once fixed really easy to set and operate also weatherproof

I was very pleased with the key safe as it is well built, strong, big enough to hold the long key that we needed to secure ( key would not fit in the standard size key safe) and I was pleased that secure fixing bolts and anchors had been supplied with the safe. There is also an excellent tough rain cover that protects the safe from the wet and also helps disguise the box. I rated the safe as perfect 5/5 but my only slight disappointment (not a fault) is the push button number system used to unlock the box. There are 10 buttons which gave me the impression that I could enter a 10 digit code, making it incredibly hard to crack, but this isn't the case. The numbers don't have to be entered in any particular sequence, therefore if all 10 buttons were used it would be useless as a security device. I would imagine that selecting a code using only 5 of the buttons would be the most secure, maybe 6 at the most. I think that it would be useful if the manufacturer were to recommend the maximum number of buttons to select out of the 10. If however they had to be entered in a particular sequence it would make it nearly impossible to crack.

The build quality for the safe itself is very good, simple to use, however it would be better if the storage area was bigger. If you have vehicle keys with fobs on, it can be very difficult putting more than one set of keys in it.

It would also benefit the numbers on the front of the safe being white so you can see them at night time, when it has a black background and the numbers being black it is difficult to see them.

The bolts supplied to fit the safe on the wall all snapped when I was fixing them to the wall so I had to supply my own.

Can the combination number be changed? So, after each user the number is changed so the last user can't get access again.
Clare, London
The code can be changed and is easy to do. Once the code has been changed the previous access code will become obsolete. If you are worried about unauthorised code changes, you can add an Anti-Tamper Code Cover to your order, meaning only you will be able to change the code by removing the code cover with a small screwdriver.

I have recently moved into a house with a S7 key safe but the previous owner couldn't remember the code is there a way to get into it and change the number or do I just have to take it away email supplied to answer if unable to post on sight.
Anonymous
Unfortunately you would need the original code to gain access as the unit can only be reprogrammed internally once opened.
Tom W

How many possible combinations does this have?
Anonymous
There are over 1,000 possible combinations to choose from and the code can easily be changed as many times as you require to maintain security.

Standard Key Safe Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of Key Safes.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your key safe.

Your installation will include fixing the key safe to an exterior wall using the fixings included with your key safe. The fixings are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete.

The position of your key safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes or cables within the wall.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the key safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your key safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.
