Very solid piece of kit, with a very robust and close fitting rubber cover to keep out the rain. Good quality combination lock with six digits. It is designed for the key to be attached to the combination pad so that it is difficult to lose the key. This means the whole front of the unit detaches and it is quite fiddly to get it all back together again.

Fairly simple to use and feels pretty safe. Relatively easy to fix.

Hard to use in the dark (it's outside a door and until you can get inside and turn the light on it's hard to work out the numbers so I've had to put a simple number on it)

People find it hard to put the black plastic loop on the top back over the catch so it's often left flapping.

Would prefer code only to work in sequence eg 2438 rather than any combination of the four numbers.

Impact drill necessary to install long screws in brickwork.

Although it did the job fro me there might be a problem with larger key sizes. Suggest measurements checked closely.

Excellent build quality and did the job nicely, and it is British made.

Solid, well-constructed. The fact you have to dial the code to enable you to close the safe once it's opened. The plastic casing is a little difficult to put back on.

Small, unobtrusive, easily installed and convenient to use. A wee bit more space inside, maybe for a couple of extra keys our perhaps a computer flash stick, would have been welcome. That said, the space was as advertised.

I am paraplegic and we looked at various different options for an outdoor keysafe so that access to our house would be possible to the emergency services and nominated responders during an emergency. The Keysafe wasn't the cheapest we saw advertised, but neither was it the most expensive and on receipt has proved great value for money. It is compact, robust, easy to fit and very easy to set up and use. It is small enough to remain discreet but still provide more than adequate key storage. We can highly recommend!

How many combinations are there for the code?

It is recommended that you choose a code that is 5-7 digits, which provides over 1000 possible combinations.

I now have the old code and have entered a new code. Which appears to work but now are unable to close the code pad as the 'open' knob doesn't move. Where am I going wrong?
Ann Cracknell, Driffield
The old code you previously entered could be causing the problem on this occasion it sounds like a program arrow is off track. If you start from the beginning and make sure that all the arrows are vertical and pointing in the upwards position. Re-program with the desired code please make sure that each individual arrow is pointing to the correct number. If this does not work please feel free to call us for further assistance

Can they be used with a 4 digit code?
Anonymous
This unit can be operated with a 4 digit code, however the recommended amount of digits to be used is between 5-7 digits, as this increases the difficulty of guessing the access code.

My friend went to install but he put it in wrong place and lost the bolts in the wall. Are they special bolts required or can I replace them at hardware store and if so what should I use to reinstall? I'd appreciate guidance as would like to install and use it.
Soo, London
You would be required to purchase 4 Masonry Screws (5.3mm x 70mm) and these screws can be bought from any hardware shop.

We have the code to key safe where we are moving to, can we change the code?
Hazel
Yes the code can be changed internally once access is gained. The arrows on the numbers currently set should be positioned in the opposite direction to those currently inactive. Numbers currently set can be inactive by moving the arrows to the opposite direction. Reset the new code by moving the arrows 180 degrees.

Standard Key Safe Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of Key Safes.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your key safe.

Your installation will include fixing the key safe to an exterior wall using the fixings included with your key safe. The fixings are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete.

The position of your key safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes or cables within the wall.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the key safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your key safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.
