The Burton Torino S2 1E, previously known as the Torino NMT/3P, is ideal for storing cash and valuables and conforms to the latest and prestigious Sold Secure Gold standard and protects against burglary attack. The Torino S2 1E by Burton Safes comes with a recommended insurance rating of £4,000 cash or £40,000 valuables and is secured by a high security electronic combination keypad. The safe is ready prepared for back or base fixing with pre-drilled holes in both the rear and bottom of the safes (bolts included).

Generally satisfactory and robust small safe for permanent fixing. (Have concealed it). Ideal for general family personal use. Good appearance and straightforward to use. Purchased the electronic version which comes with keys as well --- but key version would also be OK (if you have a safe place(s) for the keys!). Storage capacity reasonable for size of unit --- takes A4 files/ documents as well as valuables.

How secure?? Hope we never have to find out!!

    Hi, can you tell me is it possible to mount the Burton Torino so the door is facing upwards? I wanted to be able to bolt it down from the back (which would normally be bolted into a wall) but instead bolt it to the floor so the door was facing upwards. Will it still work and is it still secure?

    Although possible we would not advise that the safe is mounted in this way. The lock mechanism is not designed to work horizontally and would likely fail after a period of time. There is also a risk that the handle could become disconnected from the lock. Either of these scenarios would result in the safe having to be forced open resulting in damage to the safe.

    Standard Safe <25kg Installation

    We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

    Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

    Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

    If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

    The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

    The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

    Additional Information

    Non-standard Installation

    In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

    If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

    • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
    • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
    • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
    • Road closure including necessary permits.
    • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

    We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

    The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

    Warranty Terms & Conditions

    Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

    Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

    We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

    In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

    Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

    The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:
