Given the specification I am sure that this safe will with stand the beating my last safe took if it happens again.The self inside the safe gives more storage capabilities also.The real bonus is that I got two really big shinney safe keys that really come in handy when you want to open the safe.The keys are of very good quality and add to my sense of security when I look at them and given the sizeand you're not going to loose them!

The Burton Eurovault Aver S2 1K is designed for home or office use and is secured by a high security double bitted key lock, supplied with 2 keys. The Aver S2 1K safe is certified by ECBS to EN14450 S2 rating, providing an insurance rating of £4,000 cash and £40,000 valuables. This safe is ready prepared for back or base fixing with pre-drilled holes in both the rear and bottom of the safe (bolts included). You can view our full range of insurance approved safes here or there are 5 larger sizes available in this series.

Choose this Burton Safe for extra peace of mind with an extended warranty for home users of 5 years. You will also benefit from a free replacement in the event of a burglary. Registration of the product is required online with Burton Safes. Safe for Longer applies to home users only. In respect of materials and workmanship cover you will have peace of mind knowing that the Burton Safes service team will work to resolve any issue. Business users will benefit from a standard 2 year warranty.

My safe arrived quickly was very easy to install and came with more than sufficient fixings. Was a perfect size for everything I required. Basically the decription on the website was very accurate and for a standard basic safe it is very high quality and security rated. Best of all was excellent value for money.

At this price I thought I was getting something better. Twice this safe was delivered to me and both times the bottom of it (very little protection there) was scratched badly, down to the bare metal. However Safe.co.UK were great (it was not their fault) and resolved the problem. The safe is OK for what it is. I like the fact that it has been independently rated. It is only good of course when you fix it to the ground or wall.

The specifications say this can be mounted on the wall or floor. Can I please check it's ok to only mount to a wall?

The safe has 2 x base fixing holes and 1 x wall mounting hole. You can fix the safe to either the floor, wall or both. A sufficient number of bolts will be supplied with the safe.

I would like to mount this safe in the corner of two walls. I can see from the pictures that the door hinges are on the right. Would there be any problems in mounting this so that the back and the right hand side are flush against the wall?

There should be no issue mounting it in this location as long as you have removed the skirting board. However please be advised that the full door opening aperture could be effected.

I was hoping to fix this to a wall at an easily accessible height. Do I need to also fix a shelf to put it on to bear the weight. I was surprised to read it only has one wall fixing.

This does come with one wall fixing as well as two for the floor. If you need this at an easily accessible height I would suggest buying a shelf that supports the safe and contents inside first. Then once you find this I suggest you then fasten this to the wall for extra security.

Can I fit A4 papers into this safe?

The internal dimensions of this unit would not allow A4 documents to fit without folding. The Burton Eurovault Aver S2 2K has internal dimensions H 220x W 365x D 295mm, which would be sufficient to allow A4 documents.

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Additional Information

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:
