The Chubbsafes DataGuard 25k is certified to NT Fire 017 120D to provide 120 minutes fire protection for all forms of computer data media including disks, tapes and external hard drives. Due to the unique single layer protective barrier the internal temperature will not raise above 52°C. The Chubbsafes DataGuard 25K is equipped with a high security key lock as standard and is supplied with 2 keys. This model is also available in 3 larger sizes.

Can this safe be secured to the ground or to a wall?

Fire data safes do not have pre-drilled fixing holes, in order to maintain a low internal temperature, and are generally designed to be free standing only. However, our range of Phoenix Data Combi safes have an option to purchase a additional base fixing tray for floor installation.

I am wanting to use this safe with USB drives, but am concerned about the NT FIRE 017P as this would mean it is meant for paper. (the inside temperature would be higher than the recommended 50C for USB Drives) Is there a safe with a fire rating suitable for USB Drives?

This safe is tested to NT FIRE 017D with the D indicating it is suitable for Data. This safe will offer more than adequate protection for USB Drives.
