Could this lock be used on an external side gate? Or can you recommend a mechanical lock that would be suitable, preferably with a key override too? Thanks

Both the front and back plate for the CL525 are weather resistant and can be used on external doors. However, this lock must be installed on a door that has a thickness of 35mm - 65mm because of the mortice lock.
